The programme is very good; I give it 5.5 is just it seems not exceed the expectation (I think it is difficult for fundamental math), since the most basic is the most to explain (just like why 1+1=2). I have no reservation to anyone want to learn the math from the scratch even in my age…the reason I take this course is to face my phobia to math (though in real world we’d use calculator, Excel, but it is a real pain of not really understand the reason and taking short-cuts). And without better good foundation (at least not too fragile one), we can’t go on to learn (to use) other tools such as statistics, etc. I’d also suggest to do each quiz and even the examples in the class. Last, I agree with the comments from a student that sometimes the explanation is quite fast (to an non-native speaker). Sometimes, I also doubt if one or two quiz is correct. BUT, there is no such perfect course, and each of us the most effective learning method is unique. Thus, I remind myself to go through it thoroughly and don’t quit. Three particular things I like the course most: 1. no fancy illustration/pop-up cartoon etc (even the instructor will not show up in teaching and this is good; don’t mistake that there is any problem of Krista, she is a very approaching, elegant young lady) 2. her handwriting is very clear (so give an expression as I was in the class) 3. the feedback to my question is quick and clear I’d continue to learn so I hope one day I can start to learn statistics seriously. Highly recommend to take the course

I have always strongly disliked math and stopped studying it at the age of 16. Having decided to go back to studying, the path I chose requires math (I lacked even the basic concepts.)
I decided to give this course a try and honestly have found math to actually be fun while taking this course! Really well-structured approach, clear explanations, great examples, and so many resources to use that are most definitely helpful! Math just finally makes sense to me.

This math course has prepared me for algebra 1. The content is composed well and the concepts are taught in a way that is easy for my brain to digest. The workbooks and notes are awesome and I have never felt so confident in the fundamentals before taking this course. With consistency I was able to get through the course in a little under two months with a firm grasp on each section. Thank you Ms. King for putting together these courses ?

Man, this course is just what I needed to creat a foundation after a 20 year gap and now studying data science. This course is a well structured pathway for higher maths. The tutor is uses a combination of pdf and video to teach this course is a well presented manner. I have just punched her 3 other courses on other aspects of higher maths.
