Improved and reformatted over the original, this course is much more interactive and practical than its previous iteration. If you do not have (or cannot) get access to SQLPro (Mac) or SQLYog Win 10), do not take this course. Why?
You’ll need to have access to SQL community “freeware” about half-way through to complete it. The process on downloading is rushed through. NOTE: Windows 10 and Chrome have access issues with SQLYog, rendering the back half of the course passive and somewhat worth less.

I needed a generic SQL Query builder refresher. This course sort of did the trick but I will have to follow up with something else. I like the use of w3schools resources. What I discliked is the inconsistency of the course which I could cope with because I had some previous experience with SQL Query building but I believe someone with no knowledge would be put off. This course could be great with a little bit of more work and refinement. I have added notes to detail the shortcomings.

Overall Justin’s course is a great way to introduce yourself to SQL. This course gets immensely more helpful if you have your own database to work in as a sample.
Would recommend if your just starting or have just started SQL in the first couple months.
Would love to see Justin do a advanced SQL for marketers.

Overall, this course was mediocre. I enjoyed the instructor’s personality and the general instruction. That said, the order the information was presented in and the limited examples combined for a disjointed course. I was particularly disappointed that (according to my highly-experienced peers), at least two of the example “answers” were incorrect – which makes it hard to evaluate your understanding as you take the course.

Some incorrect exercise answers, some strangely phrased questions. Content jumps from very basic commands to cohort analysis with absolutely no context or explanation of what it is. Could delve into slightly more complex queries before moving to that.

This course should probably be re-done, there are too many errors: Instructor asks a question but answers a different question. It is very confusing for someone new to sql. Also, his queries select additional columns unnecessarily which adds to the confusion. At least active users added the correct answers and more thorough explanations in the Q&A sections.
