nice course, but debugging is not enough. Sometimes just too many steps till first check. But overall very good

Really enjoyed this course. As an intermediate programmer with very little web development experience, I found the material to be engaging, well-organized, and easy to follow along with.

Excellent Course! I like how Jose gives a high-level explanation of how thinks work at the beginning of each section. He elaborates very well on each section with independent and tangible examples. The initially written summary and final review of what was done at the end of each video is what is making a difference to me.
I really want to thank to Jose for providing such an amazing course. I recommend not only this course but also any of this teacher courses.
Thanks, Jose!

I was on building the website. What he wanted is just to follow every code in him and not executing when a certain part of the whole project is done. This comes to such error when something is not correct, hence you need now to check everything right from the start instead of just looking at that part.
What I mean is, when one concept has been finished it should be executed first before going into another so it would not bring any confusion to the student.
It is hard to debug if you don’t know on what part you did wrong and you will be stuck on that/

currently, I’m attending Devmountain and the structure we have is awesome but if this course is all I had it would be hard to go through. If you can sit down and watch a lot of videos, this is for you. if you can’t, you might either need to adjust or find a Boot Camp or something comparable to that. The instructor for this course is awesome. Probably the best and most sound instructor with these video formats. My friend is also taking this course and she said more than halfway through. They switched instructors, and I am already sad, even though I haven’t gotten to that part yet.

The course is a good way to get introduced to main concepts of flask but I really missed a core feature that is organizing the project, everything feels tossed around and all the models and endpoints are in the same file of the app. I believe that before you even start to code you should learn how to structure your project and this course is missing that, also there is no mention of testing

I think that Jose is a good teacher, but he honestly seems to NEVER update his courses. That often leaves students confused and frustrated.

The requirements.txt is outdated, which causes many issues due to deprecated modules. So when you try and follow the project, all sorts of errors occur before you even get it running. Last thing you need if you want to code along to the projects.
Most of the Q&A includes responses are the equivalent to answering have you checked the temperature in your your tyres, but i guess there is no benefit for the lecturer given most courses are rated before completion and course paid for upfront.
After completing a project, rather than demonstrate how to deploy that project, it demonstrates how to deploy a app like ‘Hello world’ with no database or config files.
Speaks through the content well, but probably causes more confusion by not discussing broader info and demonstrating the end objective.

Hard to follow, and even when I was copying and pasting, many issues arose. It was extremely difficult to follow this course since the instructor would write a ton of code before testing it. This made it really hard to learn how to make something myself since I wasn’t sure when I would have the opportunity to debug it. It’s normal in this course that you have to write 10 pages of code before you even debug, and then it is really hard to figure out where the issues lie, especially if the issues are with the database. I generally like the information, but I found it extremely frustrating to follow

So far this class has been very informative and at a good pace. It covers a fair bit of review but it is helpful to go back over things.
